Faculty Positions | Postdoctoral Positions | Adminstrative & Support Positions Faculty PositionsThe Boston Biomedical Research Institute (BBRI) seeks scientists to join our faculty. In this search, we seek scientists who have externally funded research programs, preferably in areas that could complement our current programs in muscle and nerve biology and disease; cardiovascular biology and disease; cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix; signaling; stem cell biology, cell growth and cancer; protein structure; and proteomics. Positions require a doctoral or medical degree and are available at the equivalent of Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience. We welcome cluster applications of two or more investigators as well as individual applications.
BBRI (www.bbri.org) is a dynamic, non-profit, independent research institute that was founded in 1969, has early stage and translational research as its mission, and is located in a modern facility within minutes of multiple Boston area research universities and medical centers. BBRI is also the host institution for an NIH-funded Wellstone Muscular Dystrophy Cooperative Research Center. Our current faculty are a diverse and collaborative group who use state-of-the-art technologies and innovative structural, biochemical, immunological, cellular, genetic, and mathematical approaches to further our understanding of molecular mechanisms relevant to biomedicine. Director of Institutional Advancement (IA) BBRI is seeking an individual with experience in philanthropy and resource development to join its senior management team to build research resources and support the organization’s mission on an annual basis. This individual serves as a strategic member of BBRI’s senior management team and works with volunteer leadership groups, such as the Board of Trustees and Trustees Emeriti. The Director is responsible for implementing fundraising and marketing/communications initiatives that enhance the organization’s resources and visibility on the local and national levels.
